Chapter 2 Week Two: The Call

What happens when Jesus calls you to follow Him?

In Mark 2:13–17, we meet Levi, a tax collector who was viewed as an outsider and a sinner. Yet Jesus saw him differently. Jesus called Levi right where he was, and Levi responded by following Him.

Through Levi’s story, we see that Jesus changes our identity, calls us where we are, and understands the deeper sickness of our souls. We don’t have to clean ourselves up before coming to Jesus. Instead, we are invited to recognize our need for the Great Physician and respond to His call.

The question is simple: When Jesus calls, will you follow?
